The assault resulted in the partial shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park.

Two more people are now in custody in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by a substance believed to be pepper spray, as stated by police.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in Lambeth on suspicion of robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both remain in custody, the force said.

These detentions come after an investigation into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was one of the injured in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been discharged.

Police arrested a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault close to the location. He was subsequently released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Authorities were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals injured by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.

The assault - which police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
